After our delicious lunch, we are headed back to Amman. Next up, the Citadel. The Citadel overlooks the entire city of Amman and one can easily see the benefits of building it exactly where it is. Stunning views and panoramas abound. We took our time as we walk around the ancient grounds.

After leaving St. George Church we hit the road for Wadi Musa and Petra. Because we won’t get to our hotel until after 4 pm, we will be seeing Petra first thing in the morning.

Petra is one of the New 7 wonders of the world, an ancient and historical city surrounded by high cliffs and mountains, offering it a natural defense against invaders. Ancient tribes have inhabited the caves for over 7000 years
